If you choose to travel to Sirmione by car, the ideal route is the A4 Milan-Venice highway going out at the Sirmione exit. If you arrive from North, you can take the A 22 highway from Brenner to Modena and in this case the exit is Affi, Garda Lake. Sirmione is located at a distance of 138 km from Milan, 173 km from Bologna, 258 km from Florence, and 155 km from Venice.

If you decide to reach Sirmione by train the nearest railway stations are Peschiera or Desenzano del Garda, and from there a bus will take you to Sirmione. For example travelling by train from Milan to Peschiera del Garda will take about one hour, from Bologna 2 hours (one change in Verona), and from Venice it will take approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
